I’m on Day 3 of the 60-day workout, INSANITY. I discovered this crazy program while in a hotel room in New Orleans. When the world’s asleep, infomercials serve as close friends while I’m traveling, and I fully embraced Insanity. Tatyana heard my enthusiasm and got Insanity for my birthday.
I gained a lot of weight over the past year, and I’m ready to get rid of it. I’ll share the reason as this regimen progresses. Needless to say, I need a body overhaul, because what I’m carrying isn’t me.
I used to play basketball in high school. I had no desire to play a sport in college, not even a club sport, but I missed getting yelled at by a coach and screaming out the pain of practice. I’ve missed that for some time. Now, everything has changed, because I found Insanity. Insanity gives you the kind of drills you’d get if you trained for a sport, and Shaun T is your devoted, persistent coach.
The program begins with a Fit Test that allows you to gauge your level of fitness. The DVDs don’t adjust to your ability; it’s not a personalized workout. However, throughout the program you take multiple tests, and you’re expected to improve. After the first test, you begin the rigorous routines. The exercises average 40 minutes per day, and you are allowed to rest on Sundays. Don’t get it twisted. I couldn’t last the full workout on Day 2. I cried towards the end and vomited a little in my mouth when it was over, but I tried, and that’s what matters.
The set also comes with a calendar and a calorie-restricted eating program, which is very easy to follow.
The battle of the bulge wages on. Stay tuned for my results!
